Exterior Complete, Turning Our Focus to the Interior | Cardin Homes
Every custom home reaches a point where the vision becomes unmistakable. For our modern farmhouse at Possum Kingdom Lake, we've reached one of those exciting milestones.
The majority of the exterior work is now complete. The roofing, windows, doors, siding, and masonry have come together to create the home's finished exterior appearance. For the first time, you can truly appreciate the architectural vision we set out to build.
While there are still a few final exterior details to complete, the home has officially entered its next chapter.
The Vision Is Now Visible
Over the past several months, each stage of construction has built upon the last. From preparing the land and pouring the foundation to framing the structure and making the home weather tight, every step has brought us closer to the finished product.
Now those individual milestones have come together.
The combination of the rooflines, stonework, siding, windows, and doors gives the home its personality. What was once an active construction site is now unmistakably a modern farmhouse, thoughtfully designed to complement the natural beauty of Possum Kingdom Lake.
Turning Our Attention to the Interior
With the exterior largely complete, construction now shifts indoors.
This is where the home begins to feel truly personal. Insulation, drywall, cabinetry, flooring, trim, and interior finishes will transform the structure into a space that is both beautiful and functional.
These are the details that homeowners experience every day, and they deserve the same level of craftsmanship and attention that went into every stage before them.
Building One Step at a Time
One of the reasons we've enjoyed documenting this project is the opportunity to show that quality construction is never rushed. Every phase serves a purpose, and each milestone creates the foundation for the next.
Now that the home is protected from the elements and its exterior character has taken shape, we can focus on bringing the interior spaces to life.
It's an exciting transition because this is where the vision begins to feel like a finished home rather than a construction project.
Looking Ahead
The next stage of construction will bring some of the most exciting transformations yet. Walls will be finished, rooms will become more defined, and the design selections we've carefully planned will begin coming together.
We're excited to continue sharing the progress as this custom home moves one step closer to completion.
Stay tuned as we begin the next chapter and bring the interior of this modern farmhouse to life.
